The 10th Annual Duck Cup Regatta will be hosted by the OBXCC at Nor'Banks Sailing over the weekend of June 7th and 8th. We will have a new format this year as we will be sailing 2 challenging distance races. One race will run North to the Currituck Lighthouse and back and the other will run a Southerly Course to the Wright Memorial Bridge and back. Some checkpoints will be set up along the way to keep things interesting and fun. Limited primitive camping will be allowed at the site and we will look into helping with local accommodations. We have also attracted some local sponsors which will allow us to keep the race fee to a minimum ($5/head). A more detailed NOR will follow next week. Here is the NOR! We really like the way this event is shaping up. We have lined up some great sponsors and will be able to hold registration fee at $5/day. People can come do either day or sail both days. There is enough water on the course for board boats. It is shallow in spots, but we will help out with charts and the bottom is all sand and soft mud. These courses will be fun and challenging. We will also plan to have some fun Weta racing after the racing each day so people can try out these new Tris. I am sailing a Weta in the Duck Cup!
