Frayed Knot Clinton Lake Lawrence, KS 4/26 & 4/27

Conveniently located off I-70 just West of Kansas City, Hobie Fleet 297's first crack at a regatta held last year netted (38) boats at Clinton Lake. This years event is open to all Hobie classes and the points chasers (warming up for local 20 and 16 NAC's) will be in attendance as well as novice sailors joining in the fun!

The staging venue is the Swimming Beach in Bloomington Park. Leave your trailer in the parking lot all weekend (lot will be locked and secured after 10pm with Wrinklie as night watchman in his RV) A flat

to the wide beach. RV's welcome in the lot during the day. Registration, breakfast, lunches and awards at the adjacent Shelter. Race Committee courtesy of Kansas Sailing Association. Three chase boats on course in anticipation of a large turnout. Water temp will be 60 degrees...WEAR/BRING PROPER SAILING ATTIRE i.e. wet/dry suit, spray suit, etc.

Saturday evening will start off with dinner, upstairs at Johnny's, in downtown Lawrence and finish the evening wherever the wind and college town nightlife takes us.

Camping and RV sites available at Cedar Ridge campground of Bloomington Park east approximately 1/2 mile from the beach/boats. Only 8 of 30 rooms reserved under
