quick and cheap rear mast stand suggestion
Someone gave me an el-cheapo "Hollywood" steel bike rack - the kind that fits a hitch receiver (it will even lay flat like the one on another trailer I had, when you remove its stop pin). I used a sawzall to cut off the vertical tube right under the bike frame cradles, filed the edges clean, and fit a rubber bow stop into the top, with a through-bolt to hold it in. Got a $20 bolt-on hitch receiver from Harbor Freight, used u-bolts to attach it to the rear cross-member of the trailer.  Voila, rear mast stand, no more janky mast cradle resting on the rear crossbeam, and all on the cheap. Many hundred miles later, no issues at all.
Even if you have to buy the rack, you can find them dirt cheap on C/L.
