Well it looks as if there will be between 6-8 F16's this year. As the A's aren't in favour of doing the proposed Long Course as part of their Nationals and the fact they have competitors coming from Ireland and Holland it looks as if we'll have to postpone the long course till another event. Sorry about that but looking at the latest weather reports I'm not sure if we'll be racing anyway. Over 26mph on Friday 11th <img src=

Mark,

OK, shame about the long distance race,

Given the forecast, how early can you got to the club on Wednesday - it's going to be blowing dogs off leads on Thursday !

I'll be working next door to Bonnie Tyler's house next week so I'm only a couple of minutes away from the Boat Park (name dropping). I'll send you a PM with my mobile number so give us a call when you arrive and I'll give you a hand with the mast etc and we can discuss drinking/sailing!!
Lets hope this predicted anticyclone blows out by Friday/Saturday <img src=

OK, sounds like a plan. What do you do for a living ?

I've bought Kim Wilde a pint, called Lemmy a nasty name, i've met Pricess Anne and Tony Blair, Ron Pickering lived in our close when I was a kid, And I've had an olympic Gold medal in my hand - no points for guessing who's !

Been watching wind forcasts - they are all over the place !

Now looking like Wednesday evening is going to be wet and windy !!!!!!

I think it might be a case of rig the boat and go to the pub !

(but I'm sure the forcast to change again before Wednesday !)

Entry list so far is on web site (go to results) and results will be updated daily for anybody interested.

www.mumblesyachtclub.co.uk

As and F16s will be scored separately and together as one fleet ( nothing like a bit of bar banter <img src=

alt=

/> ) on elapsed time (no handicaps).

Weather wise it's still going to be an exciting weekends racing with winds from 14-26mph. At present we are now expecting 6-7 F16's. For those of you who are interested in the results if Colin or I can remain sober long enough the Mumbles Yacht Club website will be updated on a daily basis (that's the plan) I'm afraid you'll have to do a goggle search for the MYC website as I can't remember the URL address off hand.
A photographer will be out on Saturday so next week there should be some interesting snaps of some scared sailors doing their up most to look cool!!
