Hi Folks -

I'm sure the Class leadership will be coming out with some more details in the coming weeks, but I wanted to mention a couple of things in the mean time.

Worlds 2010 - It looks as though the US will not be submitting a bid to host the 2010 F18 Worlds. There are some logistical hurdles that seem a bit steep to overcome by 2010, and there appears to be interest from France to host that year. The US will regroup and look to 2011 and beyond.

Measurement - As a result of the development above, the drive to issue Certificates in the US is largely mitigated. The 2008 NAF-18 Championship in Pensacola will be managed just as the event has in the past; dry boats will be checked for ready-to-sail weight (mast down), crews and corrector weights will be checked, and sails will be checked using a template.

More soon...

Hi John,

Do you know when there will be a worlds (Tiger/F18) where it will be held?
(I'm looking for an excuse to go to the US for a while). <img src=
