Going to bring the NACRA to the homestead next weekend to get ready for summer..

One of the project is a good cleaning and waxing.. Normally I use the 3M Finesse It with some past wax.. Anyone have a recommendation for a one step process?

Getting to old for the

wax on wax off

stuff!

I used the boat polish w/ teflon which seemed to work well for a few months at a time in the south (read:

one mile from the sun

)

The only one step I know of is to pay someone else to do it.

To clean your boat and wax it the only true one step and it's got a pretty self explantory name:
3M One Step Cleaner and Wax

Teflon Boat Polish is good if you're boat is already clean (Not oxidized or yellowed). If you wax over that you're just waxing the dirt into your gelcoat pores. Same goes with Finesse It, plus of Finesse It is it's not actually a wax so it won't bead, if you're actually worried about the beading slowing you down, personally I'm just trying to keep my boat clean.

I use a cleaner wax. Maguires, I use the paste, comes in a maroon can. I apply and buff using a foam pad, and a milwaukee 9" polisher.
If I've got brown stains I'll wash the boat down with an acid to clean those up.

yeah, how does FSR work on those brown stains, Karl?

Are they from singlehanded spin douses at C gate in breeze?

I use Iron Out.
Stains usually show up anytime it's windy and I'm singlehanded, though not when I'm wearing a drysuit. Go figure.

Stains on boat in high wind with no wetsuit. No stains with wetsuit. I think you are talking about a different kind of stain.
