Does anyone know if the carbon Omohundro masts are the same layup for the I17/I20? The 20's feels quite a bit heavier when stepping, but being longer could certainly cause that.
I'm curious for 2 reasons:
I really like this mast base that's listed for the 20 for the sake of the simpler rotator setup, but not positive that it would fit my 17.
I've got access to an I20 mast, and I'm curious if cutting it down would make it the same as an I17 mast. I know this could be far from the same, even if the layups are the same, depending on the spreader placement, spin bale, track openings, etc.
