[#30746]

We will have at least 5 Waves at this event this year which is next weekend, May 16th and 17th. The early registration ends this weekend; besides saving $5 off the cost of attendance it is what allows us to have a separate start. Eagle Creek is a reservoir on the west side of Indianapolis and the club does a good job of throwing a regatta. The Wave class has raced here before for several years but missed the last two so we decided it was time to go back. Here is the link to get more info: http://www.ecsail.org/racing.htm

Fast guys! Some can even beat me. 😉 Steve Abbey, Skip kaub, Dave Fort, Patrick Green, Dennis Butts are some. Are you in the neighborhood, now? Weather looks nice; in the mid to upper 70s there next weekend. I still have to get my boat out of the basement and get the trailer ready. It hit the upper 80s here today so it is time. We can compare skiing stories if you come!

Wow, Abbey.., he didn't sail at all last year. Been nice if I could have planned on it, but busy doing Commodore stuff at PIBYC and May schedule is really full.
Have fun.

Wow, you went through that rotation awfully fast! Of course as I get older time keeps speeding up...
Well, Commodore, have fun this year if you can and when it gets rough just remember how fast time goes by! We can swap ski stories anytime (did you see all the snow that the Denver area just got?)

Rick, Skip told me that you were planning to race with us at Eagle Creek and then canceled at the last minute. We had a good time; they even had a pontoon boat near the race course that was handing out grilled hot dogs with buns and

fixin's

AND JELLO SHOTS! I have raced since 1972 and that is a first for me and it was great. I wish you would have been there; you would have enjoyed the tight racing each race. We had a little rain on Saturday and mostly light air (5-10) with temps in the upper 60s and lower 70s while racing. Now the Wave is out of the basement and on the deck ready for action again.

Then be sure to race the NAs at the Bay. It is a combined IWCA and HCA event with same start, same and separate scoring. Expecting over 30 boats.
Logistics became crazy and too much of an imposition on Skip, so blew it off.
Raced there years ago and won the TheMightyHobie18 Indiana State Championship at Eagle.., had a great time as I recall.
That was where we first met Jim and Deb.
