Erice, are those sails as bad as they look?

Here we go...put up a picture of you sailing and you better get ready to get...well...reviewed. <img src=

Jib's too tight and it's clearly stalling the mainsail. This usually happens before the leading edge of the main caves in but you're clearly in full on choke the main mode there. <img src=

I've got a 1981, baby blue, scuffed-hull, chipped-paint, epoxy-repaired, all around beat up Prindle 16.

Name: SUM > PARTS

ooohhh,,,

penny drops, thought dennis was ragging on the age/condition of the sails not their trim

yes, now i see that jib is hauled in way to tight and directing air INTO the main and not around it

in fact it looks like the only thing stopping the luff of the main from full collapse is the battens

must keep and eye on that

thanks for the call

Sooo, apparently it's bad luck to rename a boat?

What happens if you take two boats and make them into one? Do you end up with a boat that has two names?

What happens if you replace the hulls on your boat?

What if you keep your hulls and replace everything else?

Erice, my message was quite ambiguous. Probably because I wasn't 100% sure what was wrong there myself.
Jake seems to have had little doubt though!
Sorry for the Hyjack everyone!

(personally I don't think renaming is bad at all, if Poseidon disagrees I'll take him on any day!)

bad luck to rename a boat? - YES, bad mojo
two boats and make them into one? - Add a hyphen
replace the hulls on your boat? - check to see if your life insurance is in order
hulls and replace everything else - drink 2 bottles of rum, spin around 24 times counterclockwise and sacrifice a chicken.. you should be fine
